On a planet turned to ice, only a warm heart is worth dying for.

When Major Kelly Andres awakens to find Major Byron Grayson gone from the cave that has been their military base the last five months, she realizes he has disobeyed her orders. He's gone to activate the quantum disruptor that he hopes will draw enemy fire, enabling the Provisional Army to attack the enemy armada. It's a suicide mission. And Grayson knows it.

Kelly has no intention of letting Grayson die alone in the frozen wasteland that planet Onyx has become since the war began. She's determined to find him and bring him back to base, because when they die, she wants him in her bed.

I know I’ve said this numerous times, but I have to point out that short stories and novellas work best for me when the couple knows each other from the very beginning of the tale.

Kelly and Byron are already in a sexual relationship at the very beginning. In fact, Kelly wakes after one of their steamy nights together to find that he has gone on a suicide mission. Thus she heads off on a rescue mission.

I am still amazed at how much I was given in so few pages. Kelly does a fair amount of reminiscing while she is searching for Byron. This allows for readers to feel the emotions behind their relationship. The reasons they have made it to a point that they are willing to die to save the other are apparent.

Readers are also given the very emotional point in their relationship where they do not know if they will have a tomorrow, but they are going to give everything they have to that moment. They share a crucial time together where all their feelings for one another are expressed in an extremely passionate sex scene.

I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author. The story was imaginative and creatively written. The setting was vivid in its descriptions. The characters emotions and feeling were almost tangible.

An amazing, sensual, intense, exciting and touching read all balled into one! This futuristic erotic short will have your body temperature raise beyond its normal degree with the love and affection between Kelly and Byron. A first T.C. Archer experience for me that will not be my last; the characters, settings and situations were so vivid and realistic that I found myself unable to stop turning the pages for even a second.

Any erotic reader out there will get full enjoyment and have an exciting experience when they read Winter in Paradise!

Sizzling Hot!

Now here is an excellent short Sci-fi Romance Erotic Novella that will definitely sizzle your core temperature. Perfect read for this winter time season as the author hooks you into a frigid story based on an iced over planted. The planet will have you freezing but the characters will heat you up as they find comfort in each other’s arms while awaiting their final moments of life while the world around them is being destroyed. Warning - one on one (M-F), blowing, sucking, eating, and anal penetration. Perfect happy ever after ending leaving me wanting to know more of the surviving couple and the planet.

Great Read!

Winter in Paradise starts out automatically defeating one of my reading complaints in short erotic novellas. I struggle to accept fast chemistry. Luckily, the author is wise and opens with a hero and heroine who are already involved. Problem solved.

I fully admit that I’m not easily drawn into sci-fi romances, but I didn’t fight it. I enjoyed the read, and had no trouble imagining Archer’s world-building. Since this is a short read, as per usual I will not reveal story points, but I’ll refer you to the description if you want some details. If you enjoy sci-fi with the erotic flavor, you should give Winter in Paradise a whirl.

Major Kelly and Byron Grayson are stationed on a frozen planet. Waiting for a battle that will decide the fate of an entire race. While waiting, they have become very close! Major Kelly dreams of the cold and of being all alone. She knows that Byron, who shares her bed, is right next to her. So when she wakes from the nightmare to find the bed empty and not in the station, she knows something has happened. They have received the signal, the battle is going to start. Byron has left the station to fire the weapon, that will save them all. But when she looks at the supplies he has taken, she knows Byron planned on making it a one way trip. She can not leave him out there to die. Will Kelly reach Byron in time and will there efforts save their race from extermination?

Great short book. Short enough to read in one sitting. As the story unfolds, you learn it is more than just a mission but also about finding the man she truly loves. Byron, thinks he has sacrificed himself for the women he has grown to love and learns that the power of love can drive us to do incredible things. AWESOME love scenes, and action all on a frozen futuristic planet! What more can you ask for in a sci-fi erotic short! Very nice read!

Winter in Paradise by T.C. Archer 4 out of 5 stars

Major Kelly Andres and Major Byron Grayson are part of a recuse you group called Onyx and are stationed at the end of a wormhole. The terrain is a frozen hellish land with subzero temperatures and overrun with Kirsovals, a human genetic experiment gone wrong.

With most of the galaxy forced into slavery by their hand, the Kirsovals sought out the wormhole to conquer even more territory but Onyx thwart their plans and now they wanted their pound of flesh. The war was coming of that they were certain but the question was when?

Even though this story was around 38 pages, the author made the most of those pages. Opening the book with characters that are already emotional involved and right off the bat, their love was tested in a time of great peril.

Being a huge fan of science fiction, I would love to see more storylines like Winter in Paradise. It’s exciting, sexy and leaves you wanting more.

T.C. Archer is a very gifted writer and I look forward to reading more from her.

With Winter in Paradise being a short 44 page read I was a little concerned it was going to be a wham-bam sex story. That, thankfully, is not the case.

Author T.C. Archer does an excellent job of providing the right amount of detail to not only make the story interesting but to also draw you into truly caring about the characters. Kelly is the perfect heroine for this story. Her strength it took to risk her life for the man she loves is so inspiring. And how they want their last moments spent together is each other’s arm…swoon. You could feel the love between them. Don't get me wrong, this book is hot, but there is also substance.

I hope the next book is equally as exciting – in and out of the bedroom. While I have not read any previous books by T.C. Archer, I have read her works under her other pen name and have thoroughly enjoyed both styles. Anyone who enjoys spice with their SciFi will enjoy Winter in Paradise and should read this series.

I received this book from the author for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

The story immediately draws you in with a vivid description of two lovers asked to defend an icy planet from an imminent attack. With so much detail given, you can picture yourself living vicariously through the characters, as they work together in sub-zero temperatures to save their species. When death is almost certain, they find solace in the warmth of proclaiming their love for one another through sexual pleasure. Their encounter is particularly steamy! And while I jumped for joy that they do have their happily ever after, I desperately wish that I could read more. I would love to find out what happens to them and their planet beyond this very well written quick read.

This short left me wanting more… in a good way. The universe TC Archer dropped me into was so much bigger than the brief glimpse I was given. Winter in Paradise was thirty-six pages of, adventure, romance, passion and sci-fi. All swirled into a short that had me wanting to skim forward. No, really. I had to stop myself from skipping ahead to see how the story ended. That’s not something that happens to me every day.

If you’re looking for a quick read that steps outside of the norm Winter In Paradise is the one for you.

I gave this 2 stars because it was just a ho hum book. While it has potential and I adored the plot of it, I think it could've been better as a full book instead of a novella, where more details and backstory could've been added. But with this book I was pretty much bored through it all, and it's only 25 pages. The sex scene was pretty tame compared to some of the books I have read that belong into the erotica genre. Usually when reading erotica your blood heats up and your temperature rises. But this book while it ended with a happy ending, it just left me feeling cold.
