Biography[]
An admiral in the Imperial Security Bureau, he married a woman who made Imperial propaganda posters on Vardos. Together, they had a daughter named Iden, but their marriage soured later, and the two divorced when Iden was just five.
Convinced of the need for a team of elite Imperial operatives and soldiers, Garrick put together the team "Inferno Squad", with his own daughter as leader, and gave them assignments and missions to carry out in the Empire's name. A demanding taskmaster of a parent, Garrick constantly pressured his daughter to succeed and always pushed her to her limits. She in turn always pined for his approval.
Come the destruction of the second Death Star, the death of the Emperor, and the seeming victory of the Rebellion, Garrick was contacted by one of the now late Palpatine's Messenger Droids and told to initiate "Operation: Cinder". This included such unsavory acts as bombarding his own homeworld, which he chose to do, an act that horrified his daughter and prompted her and Del Meeko to abandon the Empire during the chaos of Vardos' devastation. Although Gideon Hask stayed due to his loyalty. His actions later caught up with him on Jakku, when he was among the Imperials killed in the last major battle between the Rebellion/New Republic and the Empire. His daughter (who has since joined the Rebel Alliance in full), tries to reach him, but he urges her to leave before it's too late, wanting his daughter to live while he faces his inevitable death with some dignity.
