Welcome to Quill: A Letter-Writing Roleplaying Game for a Single Player. In Quill you will write real letters, with the aim to craft the most sublime missives in order to elicit and favourable response from the recipient. Whether asking a friend to appraise an art piece, offering condolences for a lost child, or sending a warning that the king's life is in danger; using the Ink Pot, a d6 and the scenarios within you will use luck and guile to score points at the end of your letter. Become a monk, poet, scholar and more in the pursuit of the perfect letter. 

Your character has three attributes: Penmanship, Heart and Language. Your goal is to craft a letter of five paragraphs using words from the Ink Pot. Score a success and your word is superior, and one that can score you extra points with a Flourish. But score low and you will have to make do with an inferior word that may detract from your letter entirely. At the end of each paragraph you test to see how beautiful your calligraphy has been with your Penmanship. Each letter has rules of correspondence that change the game, giving bonuses for certain characters or penalties for your state of mind.
