Strange are the days when the dust of midnight settles on the brows of malign sorcerers who mouth their plague-words in secret places. 

And strange also are the days when jealous gods bestow upon mortal beings powers untold through dread pacts. 

The canticles of magic flow through violet sands, unearthing ancient kingdoms of a fossil world, dead for millions of years. A place called Earth, now Eru.

Now as Eru’s doom approaches Champions emerge. Carrying their doom-weapons spoken to life by gods they set a course for the end of time following destiny’s arrow to the void. Their lot is unholy wrath and unending sorrow. Hated. Revered. A blight. A messiah.

Champions of Wrath & Sorrow is a roleplaying game of weird sword and sorcery, inspired by the works of Michael Moorcock, Gene Wolf, C.L Moore and the music of Smoulder. This is a game of high adventure in a fantastical universe where the gods are active, magic is evil and the waking and sleeping realms are inhabited by creatures beyond our understanding. 

Players take on the roles of Champions, pact-bound to their god who, in exchange for their souls, bestowed them each with a living weapon. Though this weapon, be it blade, bow or spear, is certainly mighty, the powers flowing through it corrode its wielder’s humanity. Through their adventures they will ascend from vagrant to demi-god, discovering wondrous secrets and slaying foul foes.
