Bear is a dog used by the Washington Liberation Front in The Last of Us Part II. While initially appearing as a minor enemy in Ellie's story, Bear becomes an interactable NPC during Abby Anderson's story.

Events of The Last of Us Part II[]
Bear is encountered by Ellie while on patrol with his handler, guarding the flooded parts of the city from the Seraphites. Ellie can choose to let Bear go or kill him.
When collecting Alice at SoundView Stadium, Abby can play catch with Bear in his pen before heading out to the FOB. He reappears with a handler later at the hospital, where Abby can pet him.
