The D'deridex-class Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit is a Tier 5 (Level 50) Warbird Battlecruiser which may be flown by Romulan Republic characters, as well as characters of any other faction. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store.
Players can obtain this starship from the Zen Store for 2,000 under the name D'deridex Warbird Battle Cruiser Retrofit. This ship can be purchased individually, or as part of the Legacy of Romulus Legacy Pack for 16,000 .
Purchasing this starship will unlock a Fleet Ship Module discount when purchasing the Fleet D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit.
This ship can also be obtained by Romulan Republic players for free upon reaching level 61 by using their free Starship Requisition token. Lifetime Subscribers will receive one of these tokens at level 50 as well. Note that obtaining this starship via the rank-up Starship Requisition token will not unlock it for your entire account, nor will it apply the fleet discount.
Overview[]
The D'deridex-class Warbird Battle Cruiser was the foundation of the Romulan Star Empire's forces in the 24th Century. Drastically heavier than the T'liss and Dhelan, the D'deridex class is significantly more resilient and carries firepower comparable to a Starfleet's Galaxy-class starship.
The D'deridex class has been at the forefront of Romulan contact with other species, and vessels of this class acted as battleships during the Dominion War.
The D'deridex class Retrofit is a further improved Warbird Battle Cruiser variant intended for Republic's Vice Admirals.

SKIN UNLOCK: Legendary Romulan Warbird Bundle, 12,000 The I.R.W. Unity was a specially constructed D’Deridex-class Warbird commissioned by Romulan Proconsul Neral in 2367. The Unity was built with lavish recreational and diplomatic facilities and was tasked with hosting delegations of colonies important to the Empire’s stagnating economy to establish influence with a softer touch. Her defensive capabilities were augmented as well to engage in “gunboat diplomacy” if the Empire’s new subjects decided not to roll out the red carpet. The Unity made several successful tours showing the flag throughout the Empire until it was attacked and captured by a cadre of Garidian rebels in 2379. The rebels took advantage of the confusion surrounding Shinzon’s coup to seize the Unity while it was visiting their homeworld. Once under their control, the Garidians re-painted the hull in stark gray and red; it was now a symbol of defiance against Imperial authority. The Unity stayed in service through the end of the 24th century and eventually joined the Romulan Republic fleet, where it serves today, proudly retaining its distinctive paint scheme. |

The D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Projected Singularity].
This ability is part of the Enhanced Maneuvering Systems Set, which also includes [Console - Universal - Molecular Phase Inversion Field] and [Console - Universal - Molecular Cohesion Nullifier] obtainable with D'ridthau Warbird Battle Cruiser (T4) and D'Khellra Warbird Battlecruiser (T6), but also equippable on the D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit. For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.

Battle Cloak
The D'deridex-class Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Singularity[]
As a Romulan Warbird, the D'deridex-class Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit comes with built-in Singularity abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Warbirds. These powers build in severity based on the charge built up by the ship's Singularity Core.

By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the D'deridex-class Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit may be upgraded to T5-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.
Note that upgrading the Fleet D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit, the fleet version of the D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit, will not apply the upgrade to this starship.
