Frigates are a type of starship. They represent a unique combination of Cruiser capabilities, in a smaller, faster and more fragile package. They come with the Strategic Maneuvering and Weapon System Efficiency Cruiser Commands, and are able to benefit from Raider Flanking bonus as well. These nimble vessels are also similar to a Raider in that they boast an abundance of Universal BOff seats, can load dual cannons, and have similar weapon slot configurations.

The Freedom-class Exploration Frigate (T6) represents a major refit of the first Earth starship class to ever reach warp four. It shares the original's classic look, but renovations from the future have made it up to speed with anything in the modern era.
This ship is available to players of all factions as a very rare drop from the [Special Requisition Choice Pack - Tier 6 Promotional Ship Choice Pack] and comes with the following:
- Scaling Starship
- VHF Disruptive Transmission universal console
- Smooth Landing starship trait
- Lieutenant Commander Universal/Miracle Worker and Lieutenant Commander Universal/Pilot bridge officer seating
- built-in Raider Flanking
- built-in "Frigate" cruiser commands

Cross-Faction Frigates[]
Elachi Qulash Frigate[]
During conflicts with the Elachi, much of their technology has been salvaged and repurposed for use in the fight against them and their mysterious allies. The Elachi Qulash-class Frigate (T6) is the latest Elachi design to be made available to the Alliance captains. A fast, nimble starship, its ability to maneuver into Mycelial Space and exit from it with heavy firepower makes it quite a threat to be reckoned with.
This ship is available to players of all factions as a reward for participating in the Mycelial Crisis Event and comes with the following:

- Elachi Rift Jump universal console
- Invasive Maneuvers starship trait
- Lieutenant Commander Universal/Intelligence bridge officer seating
