The Ch'Tang-class Bird-of-Prey is a Tier 4 (Level 30) Raider which may be flown by Klingon Defense Force characters, including Klingon Empire-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store.
Players can obtain this starship from any Ship and Shuttle Requisitions officer for 150,000 under the name Ch'Tang Class. This ship was previously available on its own from the Zen Store; players that purchased it from there can still reclaim it from there on all their characters.
Overview[]
Birds-of-Prey are small, fast and fill a variety of roles for the Empire. They can be used as scouts, raiders or patrol ships. They're vulnerable when cloaked, but their speed and maneuverability make them hard to hit. Also, the Bridge Officer spaces on a Bird-of-Prey are mostly universal, which makes them more versatile.
General Martok commanded the I.K.S. Ch'Tang during his raid on Trelka V in 2375, during which a small force destroyed a Dominion starbase. The Ch'Tang-class Bird-of-Prey honors that ship and its crew.

SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Ki'tang class has a very angular design and a much narrower wing-span than the lower tier Birds-of-Prey. The ship has a very-stripped down look, more reminiscent of the QulDun class than the Norgh-class Bird-of-Prey. |

SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Ch'Tang variant has a very staggered wingspan and foreign hull extremities, giving it a more insect look than previous Birds-of-Prey. This Bird-of-Prey design was clearly influenced by engineers of the factions allied to the Klingon Defense Force. |

Battle Cloak
The Ch'Tang-class Bird-of-Prey has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Raider Flanking
Frigates, Light Escorts, Raiders, and Scout Ships come with a built-in passive damage boost available when striking an enemy's rear arc. To support their high turn rate and maneuverability, standard raider flanking grants:
- +33% damage to NPC enemy when attacking rear arc.
- +11% damage to Player enemy when attacking rear arc.
