A gunslinger was a fast-drawing, blaster-wielding soldier of fortune.[1] Gunslingers appeared during the years of the Great Galactic War and the Cold War that followed it circa 3653 BBY, but could be found throughout any era, including during the Clone Wars and Legacy era.[2] Gunslingers were known for their phenomenal skill with blaster pistols, making them deadly in battle.[3] Some gunslingers served the Galactic Republic, while others preferred to serve themselves. Freelancing gunslingers would hire their services out as bodyguards, professional duelists, or even assassins. Notable gunslingers included Jango Fett, Han Solo, Gallandro, and Dash Rendar.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The gunslinger is an advanced class for the smuggler class in the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO video game. This advanced class specializes in dual blaster pistols, trick shots, and utlizing cover in combat.[3] The Imperial counterpart for this archetype is the sniper.[4]
