The Patty Gadget was a device capable of producing Krabby Patties at a fabulous rate. It appears in the episode "SpongeBob vs. The Patty Gadget."
Description[]
The gadget is a metallic blue machine with three wheels, a gauge on the front with a red arrow, a steam vent on the top left side and a gold lever on the right side. It releases the patties from a hatch below the gauge. It has three levels of production speed: low, medium, and high.
Warning[]
Its lever cannot be pushed too hard or else it will break off and the machine will go out of control.
Role in episode[]
In order to rid the Krusty Krab of SpongeBob, its creator, Squidward, attempts to convince Mr. Krabs to replace SpongeBob with the Patty Gadget due to the advantages it offers. Mr. Krabs is nearly convinced to fire SpongeBob, but he comes out to declare a "patty war" before that can happen. Squidward, as confident as he thinks, starts the machine, but it begins to operate out of control after the lever is broken off.
Despite this, SpongeBob manages to produce enough patties and stay ahead of the race long enough to make it explode, causing the Krusty Krab to jump in the air from the force of the blast.
The remains of the destroyed machine are later buried in the Bikini Bottom Cemetery, and people are mourned over by Squidward, except for SpongeBob, because he realizes that he is victorious against that object.
Trivia[]
- It is a parody of the steam drill that lost to legendary folklore, "John Henry."
