Nosferatu (real name Count Orlok) is a character who first appears in the episode "Graveyard Shift." He is also a recurring character in SpongeBob SquarePants and The Patrick Star Show. He also appears in the Nintendo DS version of the video game SpongeBob's Truth or Square. Nosferatu is a vampire from the titular 1922 film, and is an employee of the Krusty Krab who works as the night shift manager.
He appears as his kid self, Kidferatu, on a recurring basis in Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years as a resident of the Trawler cabin.

Description[]
He’s a vampire who wears black attire, has long nails, pointy ears, and sharp teeth. In "The Night Patty," he's shown wearing a black and white version of the Krusty Krab employee hat.
Kidferatu in Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years wears a shirt, shorts with a belt, boots, and a kerchief. He is usually seen with an umbrella when outside during the day, as he disintegrates when in direct contact with sunlight.

"Graveyard Shift"[]
Nosferatu is responsible for the light flickering at the Krusty Krab, which confuses and scares SpongeBob and Squidward, as the lights flickering is one of the signs of the hash-slinging slasher/Richard's arrival.
"The Night Patty"[]
Nosferatu hides in the cooler during the night shift and is the boss there. He approves SpongeBob to be a fry cook for the night shift by drinking his blood using a straw.
"A Place for Pets"[]
Nosferatu briefly appears during the song "Pets Are People Too" when he is gifted a sea bat.
"Captain Pipsqueak"[]
Nosferatu tries out for E.V.I.L., and is seen reading a script book in his coffin. He later goes onstage to present himself and gets zapped by Man Ray, who thinks that being a mime is his evil power.
"Squidferatu"[]
Squidward receives a huge sack of mail for Nosferatu by mistake. Nosferatu then invites Squidward and SpongeBob to stay overnight because of what Slappy says.

Nosferatu has a stuffy nose and every time he sneezes he turns into a bat. In the end, Nosferatu gets a flea collar from Slappy and then pats Slappy on his head. Slappy tells Nosferatu that he is his best friend, and then carries him to the bike who turns into a bat when he flies to the castle.

Kidferatu is one of the main campers in the mysterious cabin.

Kidferatu is briefly seen with an umbrella eating a patty.

Kidferatu is seen many times playing the drums after each joke.

When Patrick shows Cecil around Kamp Koral, he takes him to the outhouse. Cecil opens it, and finds Kidferatu inside. Kidferatu hisses and tries to shield himself from the light, but disintegrates into ash and falls down the toilet hole. Patrick apologizes, to which Kidferatu gives a thumbs up, with his hand still smoldering.

Kidferatu is seen painting a copy of The Scream as Mr. Krabs announces the art contest. Kidferatu hisses, and the painting rolls away, to his surprise.

Kidferatu is shown attending the party the Dinghies throw to show off S.A.L.
"The Perfect Camper"[]
Kidferatu and the rest of the Trawlers compete in the Kamp Koral Summer Games. Kidferatu tries to do the hammer toss, but he spins too fast and loses his hat, then disintegrates. Preda vacuums up his ashes. When the Trawlers collect parts of the campers, Kidferatu steals a bit of Larry's shell. The Trawlers are then informed by Mr. Krabs that they can only have a replacement in the Summer Games if their counselor cannot compete. Kidferatu removes his hat on purpose to allow Clay to join. At the end of the episode, he carries off the trophy that Clay won for the cabin.
"Scaredy Squirrel"[]
Sandy is scared of Kidferatu because he does not show up in pictures. When Preda introduces him to her, she screams and hisses at him like a cat. While walking around the cabin, Sandy comes into Kidferatu's room, which has two coffin-shaped tanning beds. Kidferatu offers to let Sandy use them, but she nervously declines. Kidferatu is then burnt up by the beams from the tanning rays. He and the other Trawlers have a welcoming dinner for Sandy and attend her sleepover the week after.
The Patrick Star Show[]
"Patrick's Got a Zoo Loose"[]
He appears as a guest on The Patrick Show! Patrick looks at his strong sunscreen, and then thanks him for stopping by. He advertises his one-man play and jumps in a coffin, while Slappy drives away.
"The Starry Awards"[]
Nosferatu appears as a candidate for the "Best Bite" category, but loses to Slappy Laszlo. Later, when Patrick does a memorial service, Nosferatu is listed among those who have passed away.

- In fact, in the film Nosferatu, the character's name is actually Count Orlok, not Nosferatu like he is called in the franchise.
- The word nosferatu supposedly is an obscure and archaic Romanian term for "vampire." Its origin and etymology is unknown with several proposals: one possible etymology is old Romanian nesuferitu ("the offensive one" or "the insufferable one"); another is Greek nosophoros meaning "plague carrier."
- "The Night Patty" marks the first time Nosferatu's full body is shown in SpongeBob SquarePants.
- His appearance in this episode also marks his first in-series episode appearance in 17 years.
- He replaced Floorboard Harry in the final draft of "Graveyard Shift."
- He is one of the few live-action characters to have an animated form after the death of Max Schreck, his original actor.
- Nosferatu is a land-based character, like Sandy Cheeks and Kenny the Cat. Unlike them, he doesn't need an air helmet. Being a vampire, Nosferatu is an undead creature and therefore doesn't need to breathe.
