The Vertical Were-Hammer is one of the Straight Attack Skills used by Sonic the Werehog in the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed. When using this move, Sonic throws a combo of punches before jumping up and launching a vertical punch into the ground.

Description[]

When performing this move, Sonic first performs the Were-Hammer. After that, Sonic jumps high into the air, from where he then enlarges his right fist and throws it directly and vertically into the ground in a powerful punch, with the impact being powerful enough to knock nearby opponent(s) into the air.

The Vertical Were-Hammer becomes available in the game when Sonic the Werehog's Combat parameter reaches level 20. To perform the Vertical Were-Hammer in gameplay, the player must press / in quick succession. In gameplay, the final part of the Vertical Were-Hammer knocks the opponent(s) into the air, allowing the player to attack the airborne enemies with Aerial attacks.
