Xia Lee (also known as Catherine Moore) is the deuteragonist of the Turning Red fan-fiction Turning Red: Secrets of the Panda, its sequel Turning Red: The Panda Conspiracy, and one of the two overarching protagonists of Turning Red: A Demon's Revenge. She is a scientist and Meilin Lee’s cousin who protects her from and helps her take down the PCA, a government organisation lead by Jason Vaugn. Like her cousin, she possesses the ability to transform into a giant red panda.

- She goes to the Lee house to Warn Mei that she is being hunted by the PCA.
- She goes undercover as Catherine Moore to keep an eye on Mei without arousing suspicion from the PCA
- She teaches students at Lester B. Pearson Middle School about different species so the can learn about their importance to the ecosystem.
- Ends a class early after seeing Mei is upset over losing her red panda spirit, wanting to give her a chance to calm down.
- Knocks out Jason Vaugn when the latter comes close to killing Mei and Miriam, and promises to get a doctor to tend to Miriam’s gunshot wound.
- She continued protecting her family, despite the fact Jason declared them all as dangerous fugitives and made protecting them a criminal offence.
- Protects the buyers at the auction by fighting Jason Vaugn, despite said buyers being criminals, which shows how much she wants to keep the people of Toronto safe.
- Distracts Jason by keeping him talking in order to give Mei time to rescue her family and friends.
- Agrees to keep her own red panda spirit after seeing how much impact Mei’s red panda had on her life.While she did perform some unethical experiments at the start of the story, she stops doing them after realising how much harm they were causing, and was only performing them to help people defend themselves

Turning Red: The Panda Conspiracy:[]
- While she is still trying to find ways for normal people to have panda abilities, she does so in ways that don’t cause any harm to either spirit or host
- Goes with Mei when Jessica and Harvey take her to the police station for questioning so she has someone to vouch for her
- Tries to prove Mei’s innocence after she is accused of a crime she did not commit
- Works with Jessica to rescue Mei after she is taken to be executed by Harvey
- Tries to calm Mei down after the latter is told about her mother’s death
- Takes Mei to her house so she can calm down
- Defends Mei from Harvey after the latter attacks her, risking her own life in the process
- Despite breaking Mei’s phone, she only did so to protect Mei’s friends and family, and not from any malice
- She willingly gets taken by the PCA, while asking them not to hurt Mei, showing how much she cares for her cousin
- Despite Sarah being a member of the PCA, Xia still shows genuine sympathy for her after she shares her tragic past
- Passes Sarah her sword so she can defend herself from Harvey
- She shows no fear when she sees Sarah (who was being manipulated by her father) is about to kill her.
