Sigma Draconis VI was a planet, the sixth planet of the Sigma Draconis star system in the Alpha Quadrant[1], and was one of three class M planets located in the system.
History[]
By the late 2260s, Sigma Draconis had been enduring a glacial age for several thousand years, with the maximum temperature reaching only 40°F. Only a small belt of land in the tropical zone remained habitable.
According to Federation probes, Sigma Draconis was home to primitive sentient lifeforms who had not yet formed an organized civilization or began to develop industrially or culturally.
However, the crew of the Federation starship USS Enterprise later determined that Sigma Draconis was once home to an advanced race whose technology had advanced far further that the 23rd century Federation. With the coming of the glacial age, the civilization began to de-evolve to a primitive level over the millennia. They built an underground complex to house the women while the men remained on the planet's surface. Over the years, the male-female schism created two separate cultures which grew independently, the Morg on the surface, the Eymorg underground.
