Delphi Ardu IV was a class M planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the fourth planet in orbit of the Delphi Ardu star system.

History and specifics[]

The planet was almost completely devoid of life—a barren rock with little to no vegetation and frequent ion storms. The surface is covered with large energy absorbing crystals that emit tetrametric radiation pulses, a signature of ancient Tkon technology. (ST video game: Resurgence)

On stardate 41386.4, in the year 2364, the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D chased a Ferengi warship to Delphi Ardu IV. The planet was the site of an ancient Tkon Empire outpost still protected by a mysterious guardian, Portal 63. The guardian was able to use an energy drain weapon that was able to disable both the Federation flagship and the D'Kora-class marauder they had been pursuing. Commander William Riker was able to negotiate with Portal 63 to allow the release of both ships. (TNG episode: "The Last Outpost")

In 2375, the USS Catherine Mary orbited Delphi Ardu, with Captain Wrightwell standing by to receive a subspace transmission from Admiral Nechayev providing intel to capture a Breen frigate. (SCE - What's Past eBook: The Future Begins)

On stardate 57931.4 in the year 2380, the USS Resolute returned to Delphi Ardu IV to seek the aid of Portal 63 in finding and stopping the Scions of the Flame. (ST video game: Resurgence chapter: "The Last Guardian")
