Throw Me a Bone is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 6.
Opening[]
A front view of the first character on their Chain-Chomp is shown, then the camera rotates around to behind the player as the screen splits into four sections.
Gameplay[]
The object for each character is to reach the goal at the end first. A character can get their Chain-Chomp to move toward the goal by throwing bones along the way. Before a bone is shown, a purple arrow moving left and right is shown in front of the player's character. The player can press to stop the arrow, causing the character to throw a bone in the direction the arrow stopped, then the Chain-Chomp goes after the bone. If a character and their Chain-Chomp hit a column, both of them get stunned temporarily. Whoever crosses the finish line first is the winner.
Throw Me a Bone is the eighth minigame in Decathlon Park. Here, the player has to try and reach the goal as quickly as possible; the faster they complete the minigame, the more points they earn, for a maximum of 1,000.
Ending[]
There are two different endings that can occur. The standard ending involves the winner performing their victory animation with the Chain-Chomp behind them. The alternate ending occurs if the player sets a New Record, and it involves the winner performing their victory animation as a bone is thrown across the screen from offscreen, then a Chain-Chomp goes after the bone.
