Surge and Destroy is a 1-vs.-3 mini-game in Mario Party 6.
Opening[]
The teammates are standing on a platform, and the solo character is on a platform above. The teammates are all alarmed as electrical streams emerge from the generators to form a large ball of blue electricity.
Gameplay[]
The solo character takes control of a ball of electricity created where the horizontal and vertical streams of lightning intersect, and they have to try and knock out the team members with it within the 30-second time limit. Meanwhile, the team members have to try and avoid touching the sphere of electricity. If a teammate touches an electrical stream, they become stunned for a second, but if a team member touches the electrical sphere itself, they are eliminated from the mini-game. Any team member eliminated is sent to stand on a platform to the right.
If all three members are eliminated, the solo character wins, but if at least one teammate survives until the time limit runs out, the team wins.
Ending[]
If the solo character wins, they perform their victory animation on their platform, while the team members each perform their losing animation on the other platform. The opposite occurs if the team wins, in which each of them perform their respective victory animation while the solo character does their losing animation.
