Mjomba is a male aardwolf. He is a member of a pack of aardwolves in the Pride Lands.
When the Lion Guard mistook Mjomba and his pack for hyenas, Kion used the Roar of the Elders to blow them into the Outlands. After realizing their mistake, the Lion Guard journeyed into the Outlands to retrieve the aardwolves. There, they encountered Mjomba, who was running straight toward a cliff. Bunga saved the aardwolf's life, after which Kion asked Mjomba to convince his pack to trust the Lion Guard. Mjomba did as he was asked, but the pack was quickly set upon by jackals. Just in time, the Lion Guard saved the pack, and the aardwolves followed them back to the Pride Lands.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Mjomba lived in the Pride Lands with the rest of his pack.[1]
Exiled to the Outlands[]
“ | ” |
One night, Mjomba and his pack were scrounging through Muhangus and Muhanga's den when the Lion Guard arrived to drive them away. Kion erroneously referred to them as hyenas and demanded they leave the Pride Lands. He then used the Roar of the Elders to blow them into the Outlands.
Once there, the pack hid from the Lion Guard, as they were afraid that they would be hurt again. As the rest of the pack deliberated what to do, Mjomba caught sight of a bug and wandered away from the group. He was eventually spotted by Ono, who saw that the aardwolf was running straight for a high cliff. Just in time, Bunga tackled Mjomba to the ground, and Mjomba demanded to know what Bunga was doing. Bunga pointed out that he had just saved the aardwolf's life.
The rest of the Lion Guard arrived, and Kion explained to Mjomba that the team needed the aardwolves to return to the Pride Lands so that they could take care of a termite infestation. Mjomba retorted that the Lion Guard should never have driven the pack out to begin with, and Kion apologized for the error, admitting that he had mistaken the aardwolves for hyenas. He then told Mjomba that he needed the rest of his pack to return home, else the termite problem would not be alleviated. Mjomba was hesitant to comply until Bunga and Ono reminded him that he would get to go home and feast on a kingdom overrun with termites. Ravenous, Mjomba complied and raced ahead of the Lion Guard to find his pack.
With Mjomba in the lead, the Lion Guard found the rest of the aardwolves hiding in a cave. While Kion and his friends stayed behind, Mjomba went ahead and informed his friends that the Lion Guard wanted them to return to the Pride Lands. Before the pack could leave, Goigoi and Reirei trapped them in the cave and launched an attack. The Lion Guard arrived and drove off the jackals. Afterward, the aardwolves and their saviors returned to the Pride Lands, where the pack resolved the kingdom's termite problem.[1]
