Omega Clearance
Omega Clearance is the highest security clearance level in Project Zero Dawn, secretly created by Hank Shaw for Ted Faro within Project Zero Dawn.

Creation[]
Sometime prior to June 2065, Ted coerced Hank Shaw, a HADES Beta, into installing Omega Clearance in secret, granting him even greater clearance than the Alpha personnel from within Thebes.[1] In essence, Omega Clearance gave Ted complete control over the system.
While Shaw was eventually removed from the project after being caught conspiring with Far Zenith to steal a GAIA copy,[2] his creation of Omega Clearance went undiscovered by the Zero Dawn staff and even GAIA herself.[3] However, a source informed Far Zenith about Omega Clearance, but they deemed it irrelevant to their goals.[1]
Usage[]
Ted's guilt for causing the destruction of life on Earth took a great toll on his psyche. His increasingly fragile mental state, combined with misused guidance from his "techno-nihilist" spiritual guru Grigori Fasbach[4] and his prideful wish to hide his culpability, led him to view knowledge and technology as the root cause of the disaster. In this frame of mind, he saw APOLLO, the subordinate function tasked with educating the next generation of humanity, as a poison[5] and disease.[6] On February 2, 2066, he used Omega Clearance to remotely delete all copies of the APOLLO database,[6] which indirectly deleted all backup copies of GAIA as well.[7] After making his actions known to the Alphas inside GAIA Prime, Ted had the conference room that the Alphas were in vented, asphyxiating and killing them.[6]
Horizon Forbidden West[]
After Beta discovered that HEPHAESTUS had deleted the Alpha Registry from its code, Aloy sought out Omega Clearance to allow her to merge the rogue subordinate function with GAIA. Once she successfully retrieved it from Thebes,[8] Aloy and Beta used it during their attempt to merge HEPHAESTUS and GAIA. While Omega Clearance succeeded in its task, the mission was ultimately unsuccessful, as the Zeniths interrupted the process before escaping with GAIA and the unmerged HEPHAESTUS.[9]
Once HEPHAESTUS escaped back to the Cauldron network, Beta believed that it would likely rewrite itself to prevent it from being susceptible to Omega Clearance again.[10]
