Life Orb Flapple.png

This build uses Life Orb to boost Flapple's Attack. The Hustle ability further boosts your Attack, making Flapple an excellent physical attacker.

Use Dragon Dance, then Dynamax to defeat a Dynamaxed Gyarados on a switch-in in one hit.

Fly's Dynamax counterpart, Max Airstream, allows you to boost your Speed, allowing it to outspeed opponents with high base Speed.

For a Dragon-type move, Outrage is selected for its high accuracy, to use mainly after Dynamax has ended.

Move Options for Gigantamax Flapple

How to Get Gigantamax Flapple

Move Option 1 Dragon Rush

These moves can be used in place of Outrage and Fly when using Gigantamax Flapple.

G-Max Tartness Gigantamax Flapple's unique move. This move reduces the opponents' evasiveness.

With the accuracy-boosting effects of Gigantamax Flapple's signature move, G-Max Tartness, you can reliably use the otherwise inaccurate Dragon Rush.

Alternate Move Choices

Heavy Slam After Dragon Dance, Max Steelspike has a high probability to defeat Dynamax Togekiss in one hit.
Outrage A high damage Dragon-type move
Grav Apple A Grass-type move that can lower your opponent's Def.
Fly Can be used to waste a Dynamax turn from your opponent.
Grassy Glide This move is a priority move if you have Grassy Terrain.

How to Use Flapple Effectively

A Dynamax Attacker with the Hustle Ability

Flapple's Hustle ability gives it a 1.5x Attack increase. As Dynamax moves always hit, it can gain the Attack boost from Hustle while preserving its accuracy. For this reason, Flapple is best used as a Dynamax or Gigantamax attacker.

Hit Its Weak Spots with Quick Pokemon

It's best to attack first with a quick Dragon-type Pokemon. A Dragapult with maximized Speed will outspeed Flapple even after a 1-stage Speed boost.

Ice-type attacks are 4x-effective against Flapple, and can make quick work of it even without Dynamaxing.
