You may also use 20 Residual Signals, earned by getting a duplicate of an Agent or W-Engine with an A-Rank or higher during Signal Searches, to obtain 1 Master Tape.
Similar to the Residual Signals, you may also exchange 90 Fading Signals for 1 Master Tape capped at 5 times monthly.
Events may also offer Master Tapes as a reward, like the Road to Proxy Greatness event which nets you a total of 40 Master Tapes once completed.
You may obtain free Master Tapes by leveling up the Basic Plan on the New Eridu City Fund, granting you 1 Master Tape per 10 levels.
Promoting Agents at levels 10, 30, and 50 will give you 1 Master Tape each for free.
2 Master Tapes will be rewarded to you per 5 levels that you surpass on your Inter-Knot Level.
How to Raise Your Inter-Knot Level
Completing a Trial on the Primer will grant you 1 Master Tape apart from other rewards upon completing the prerequisite objectives.
You may purchase Shop Bundles through the Shop menu which immediately grants you Master Tapes in exchange for real world money; the cost of which will be reflected in your local currency.
Use your Master Tapes to conduct Signal Searches on the Stable Channel, which contains a pool of both permanent Agents and W-Engines.
At the beginning of the game, take advantage of the discounted Signal Searches which allows you to do 10 Signal Searches with only 8 Master Tapes instead of 10, though this halts once you reach the limit of five 10 Signal Searches.
