If you look CLOSE you can see Mars to the right of the Moon.

The moon through a much bigger but not that amazingly good quality zoom. It's a film lens (80 - 200mm (so digital upto 300mm?) & a zoom doubling extender (I forget the correct term, it's too early in the morning!) so effective approx 600mm zoom picture of the moon. Enhanced and layered a few photos together, but got carried away with the sharpening!

I love looking at the moon any time of the year.

my very first moon shooting.. LOL.. im loving my 70-200mm more n more now.. next target.. 100-400mm? LOL

Taken using a FujiFilm Finepix s6500fd camera through a Skywatcher Explorer 130pm (5") newtonian telescope. I used a 32mm projection eyepiece and an ND filter.
