My humble attempt to take pictures of the moon

Sharper moon images are out there but photographers working on a budget will be pleased to know that the lens for this shot was purchased on ebay a few years back for less than $50. A 500mm "Five Star" lens that may have other branding. This is a film era long lens not a telephoto, so an awkward 14" long. It does have a tripod mount so that helps and a T mount. It came with a 2x Vivitar tele converter...so 1000mm. This does require manual shooting but I recomend this all the time anyway.

My daughter, Eve, got really excited when she saw the moon yesterday (she's 3 years old). So I told her we should take a photo - together we set up the 400mm lens on the tripod and I held her up to see the live view while I got the settings right.

She happily told me it was her moon, so here it is with it's proper name!

My first shoot of the moon

The January 21st 2019 moon eclipse, at around 6 am this morning. Thanks to the freezing but clear winter weather.

Tonight's 'Supermoon' (29/08/2015) is the first of three spectacular lunar shows this year

That means the moon is very full and bright in the sky, because it has come very close to earth.

Tonight's full moon is just 222,631 miles from earth - one of the closest approaches of the year.

That Blue Moon in my heart...

Madison, Wisconsin. In our location, there has been haze and an occasional smell of smoke from forest fires in western Canada and the northwestern United States. Perhaps the color of the moon is an addition effect caused by the atmospheric conditions due to the fires.

...it's a soft, easy breezy Sunday morning here at J-ARG, and here's a little something from the Chairman-of-the-Board, Blue-Eyes himself, Frank Sinatra:

Just a standard full moon.

I took this when I went out to take some night shots around my apartment. It was cloudy that night but this short moment when the sky suddenly open came, and I was lucky enough to get couple shots of it.

An old photo that I liked. It was used for the game that I and my group made.

Note: I just took a shot and don't edited it with any software.

I had trouble with the clouds (in the way again!), but the moon finally moved into a clearing...

I don't know what the red dot is. It can't be a reflection as i took it outdoors on my Cannon camera But it seems to be moving around the moon?
