I caught a glimpse of something high up in a tree. I never saw this bird before. I think my angel Tracey sent it to me.

Caught this trio of lovebirds in Mesa, AZ. Probably offspring of released or escaped pet birds some years ago, they seem to have become well acclimated to the AZ area. They fly around in large flocks of 12-15 birds.
One of my favourite birds, a great splash of vibrant colours!

This guy just stopped by to see what we might have to offer. Hope he comes back. He's standing on the railing of our balcony. Unfortunately, this was taken thru a glass door AND a screen door. So there's some unwanted texture here.
This baby dove has been on the birdbath since this morning. She is very trusting and watches me tend to my roses.

The dunnock is a small brown and grey bird. Quiet and unobtrusive, it is often seen on its own, creeping along the edge of a flower bed or near to a bush, moving with a rather nervous, shuffling gait, often flicking its wings as it goes.
Not sure but they may have been taking vegetation to bind their nests.
I had a real bonus yesterday.. the first cuckoo I have ever heard here in 30 years. It roved from tree to tree using them as songposts. Of course it was buried in foliage but a magical interlude that gave me an excuse to abandon studying :-)
