This Cape May Warbler was by far the most active Warbler in my friends backyard. He guards all the jelly feeders from other warblers.

Very slow day at Coyote Hills, but this beautiful 'museum' of Cedar Waxwings saved the day. I love that word to describe them.

I was astounded at the water levels at the park today. The water just past the entrance kiosk is very close to the road. Never ever seen it so high!!

Backyard junco

Toi cherry blossom is the most early blooming cherry in Japan.

This cherry blossom begins to bloom in early winter.

So as you can see, it's already past full bloom on this day.

Many white eye birds were busy sucking nectar from the flowers.

土肥桜は日本で一番早く桜で、二番目は熱海桜と言われてます。土肥桜は例年なんと12月末に咲き始めます。今年は開花が少し遅れましたが、それでもご覧の様に満開を過ぎてます。実は土肥桜にも二種有って、写真の赤味を帯びた桜と淡いピンク色の桜が有る事を初めて知りました。ピンク色の土肥桜は丁度満開でした。
