Description
Haste is a Time Magic spell in Final Fantasy V. It grants the haste effect to one target, doubling the rate their Active Time Battle bar fills, effectively doubling their turn rate.
Haste is also an enemy ability that can be cast by Calofisteri, Exdeath (first battle), Gilgamesh (Big Bridge), Halicarnassus, Omniscient, Siren, Zephyrus, and Enuo.

Haste can be purchased for 320 gil from Walse, Karnak, or Istory. Walse is the earliest the spell can be purchased.
A way to cast Haste outside of the Time Magic skillset is by using the sealed katana Masamune as an item during battle while it is equipped. The blade will not be consumed, unlike when using item magic with rods.

Haste is a very positive buff that can greatly increase a character's damage or healing output during a battle. When acquired, the player should make sure to use Haste particularly in longer battles and boss battles. Haste should be cast on the caster first so they can apply it to other party members after.
The Hastega spell casts haste on all allies instead of one. At this point, the only reason to use Haste is to save MP if the player only needs one character hasted. Another way to bestow Haste is with the Speed Shake with the Drink command and with the Hasty-ade and Blessed Kiss mixes.
