Ontario Furries Expo (originally known as Islington Furmeet from 2008-2017) is an annual furry convention that takes place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[1]

Ontario Furries Expo began as Islington Furmeet, a periodic series of furmeets usually hosted by Ki-Wind, Dan Skunk and/or others in the party room of an apartment complex in Etobicoke, a district in Toronto, Ontario. The first Islington Furmeet took place on June 14, 2008 and was attended by 34 people. The event continued to grow over time and after Islington Furmeet 19 in November, 2014 the decision was made to move the meetups to a hotel, the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport & Conference Centre, which could accommodate the larger numbers of attendees.
Over time, Islington Furmeet expanded into a small convention that included a dealers table, gaming, movies, a raffle, and other features.[2] After Islington Furmeet 24 in October 2016, the event was renamed Ontario Furries Expo to reflect the growing attendee counts and the desire to make the event into a convention.
Ontario Furries Expo shifted from a periodic event schedule to hosting a singular annual event beginning with Ontario Furries Expo 27 in October, 2017.
In 2020 and again in 2021, what would have been the 30th Ontario Furries Expo was cancelled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and would not occur until August 2022.[3]
