Gudiyattam town history
The 1000-year-old Punganoor Amman Temple in Chunnambupet (old bus stand backside) was built by king krishna devar. Its walls are decorated with stone art works of Ramayanam Maha Kaviyam, Pancha Moorthy Thalum. Hi sir This content is our town history sir please add this message on history page That's my humble request Thank you Parthidhoni (talk) 11:28, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Parthidhoni your first message was placed between two instructions each stating ♦♦♦ Please put new posts at the BOTTOM of the page and include a title set between double == signs ♦♦♦ - please read and follow such instructions
- As for this message - your addition keeps being deleted - and will continue to be deleted - because you are not citing reliable sources.
Reliable sources must be cited so readers can verify that the information is true, now, or at any point in the future. Each of the words in blue leads to an explanatory article, which you should read before editing further. You should also read Help:Referencing for beginners for the "how-to" instructions on referencing.
As you have not given any reliable sources I cannot add the information to the article, as that would be against Wikipedias policy of verifiability - Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 12:37, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
Fiction
I have reverted this edit as entirely misleading.
Nowhere another editor removed any sources but corrected gross misrepresentation of BBC source and added a reliable source which confirms this is a fictional subject. Per WP:FRINGE we are supposed to give more weight to the accurate position.
If this subject is not fictional then you are free to prove its historicity.
You are counting WP:FRINGE position by an IP and the page creator against Sitush, Azuredivay, me and other 3 editors who agreed that this is a fictional subject per discussions at: Talk:Nangeli#Truth or fiction, Talk:Nangeli#Fiction, Talk:Nangeli#Background section removal. Consensus is in favor to treat the subject as fiction. Wareon (talk) 11:57, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- As discussed on the talk page, there have been attempts to include this fictional story in the school syllabus and treat it as historical truth, that's why we highlight the subject as fiction. Now that you know all there is the consensus of 7-2 editors to present the subject as fictional, kindly watch out for disruptive edits like this. I note you have reverted it before as well. Thanks. Commando Parachute Group
Hi! Is it possible to rename the Commando Parachute Group article "Parachute Commando Group" instead? It is the more appropriate word order for what is being tranlated. I am not able to do that myself but I think you might. Jules Agathias (talk) 15:56, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- As the page is not move protected, you are able to move it yourself, but please do not. It has been under the current title for over 14 years, so any change should be proposed on the talk page, and a consensus agreed, before any such move.
However, the title is a minor consideration - the major problem is that there are no references whatsoever, to support any of the claims made in the article. This was flagged up in 2013, but has still not been addressed, so any section, or even the entire article, could simply be deleted.
I have reverted your changes to the title in the infobox and the lead. This is the English Wikipedia, so the lead should use the English title, in bold, before the French. - Arjayay (talk) 16:18, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

Why this bias towards Chandragupta Maurya?
When cruel rulers like Alexander are termed as "The Great", not many are concerned to term it as "Boosterism". But when it is about Chandragupta Maurya, who became India's first historical emperor from a scratch, we can't credit him as one of the greats. Greatness doesn't imply just some extensive territorial conquest alone. Greatness means a character's impact and influence on a country. As such, Chandragupta Maurya is deserving to be called as "The Great". N Tanmay Prabhu (talk) 10:54, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hello N Tanmay Prabhu
"Alexander the Great", (16,000.000 Google matches) is his WP:COMMONNAME in English, so that, under Wikipedias policies and guidelines, is the term that we use.
Chandragupta Maurya (958,000 Google matches) is not commonly called "Chandragupta Maurya the Great" (8,250 Google matches - many of which have a comma in the middle, as part of a sentence, rather than being his actual title).
Wikipedia, therefore, calls him Chandragupta Maurya, which is his WP:COMMONNAME in English, as per Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Arjayay (talk) 11:49, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
Go ahead and Block.
If demanding a proposal to update the article is considered "Vandalism", then I have no hope from Wikipedia. Wikipedia is concerned only with glorification of western history and letting glorifying narratives of the western history. This is a propaganda against those who seek their roots. And Wikipedia is actively promoting this propaganda by not letting us rewrite our history. Its unfortunate. But I am not bothered. You can go ahead and block! Merging Main Street (Buffalo) into Buffalo, NY
Hi, I wanted to give you a heads up about an article you edited. The creator of Main Street (Buffalo), User:Piffner and agreed with my review that the content would be better as a part of the article on Buffalo, NY, so they've moved it there and asked for a page deletion for Main Street (Buffalo). While this meets my sensibilities for speedy delete as an admin, I wanted to open a discussion on the article's talk page in case people who had recently edited the article would like to weigh in. --Zippy (talk) 19:19, 12 August 2022 (UTC)

My article is not showing up in Google search !
Hello, I wrote an article for Speda TV, But this article does not appear in Google search. Please help me to solve this problem. Thanks. Mr-MohammedAzeez (talk) 18:12, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Mr-MohammedAzeez - I'm not sure why you are so worried about Google (other search engines are available) but this delay is absolutely standard.
All new pages are subject to approval by a New Page Patroller, and are not indexed by search engines until approved by that reviewer - so are not indexed if they are rejected. A review can take several weeks, however, there is a "long-stop" - if the page has not been approved, or rejected, by a New Page Patroller 90 days after it was created, it will become available for indexing - you then have to wait for Google's "crawler" to find the article.
As you created the article on 29 July, the 90 days will expire on 27 October - although it will probably be reviewed before then.
Before you ask, no, I can't review it, as I am not a New Page Patroller. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 19:30, 12 August 2022 (UTC)- Thank you very much for the clarification, I just wanted to know why my article does not enter the search engines and this is a good explanation, thank you. Mr-MohammedAzeez (talk) 21:29, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
Jammu and Kashmir
The Jammu and Kashmir is a union territory of India. I don't understand why you remove my edits that are in concurrent with the style of other pages related to Indian states and indian union territories. Editor8220 (talk) 12:33, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Editor8220 as already explained we do not use flags or emblems on articles relating to the disputed territories - hence the instruction No flags that you keep removing. There have also been discussions about the map, leading to consensus on the map you keep removing.
You have been given a discretionary sanctions warning, because of your edits in this area, but are ignoring that. You have also been given a 3RR warning for repeatedly making these edits - please stop before you are blocked. Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 12:51, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
But. It is a union territory of India. And the disputing nation has no control over the area.
Look at the wikipedia page of "Xinjiang" parts of kashmir is shown in map of China and Chinese flag is used.
Look at the page of "Arunachal pradesh" disputed but controlled by India. Map and emblem of india is there. Editor8220 (talk) 12:58, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
For your concern, the pakistani controlled area is shaded seperately and is stated as "not administered" under the map. Editor8220 (talk) 13:09, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) You just must stop edit warring. If you want to discuss article contents, you should do it at Talk:Jammu and Kashmir (union territory). — kashmīrī TALK 13:32, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
The territory i edited is under the administration of India. The disputing nations have no control over ths area I indicated. Then why can't I usethe flag, map and emblem ofthe region? Editor8220 (talk) 05:52, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
I demand an answer. The article (Jammu and Kashmir) is about a union territory of India. That region is in central control of India. I cannot understand the logic of you trying to block my edit Editor8220 (talk) 11:35, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- (sigh) The consensus position has repeatedly been explained to you, and you have been advised to read the archives.
We know that Jammu and Kashmir is currently administered by India, and we also know that its ownership is contested.
Wikipedia does not decide who is "right" nor support one claim over another.
We, therefore, try to avoid partisan symbols and maps, the consensus being on displaying the map you keep removing.
Please stop edit-warring , or you will be blocked, again. - Arjayay (talk) 12:09, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Nowrunning
hi there, before you start removing all the Nowrunning sources. I have opened a discussion here (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force#Reliability_of_Nowrunning) because the reviews are written by independent critics. (for the older films early 2000s, if you remove nowrunning then there will be no sources. DareshMohan (talk) 02:58, 18 August 2022 (UTC)

Reverts on 'Suraj Prakash' and 'Mahan Kosh' pages
As per WP:NOINDICSCRIPTS "Exceptions are articles on the script itself, articles on a language that uses the script, and articles on texts originally written in a particular script." It is permissible to include Gurmukhi script on these articles, seeing as they cover a text written in the script. You removed my inclusions on them. Also, you removed the Gurmukhi script on the main 'Gurdwara' page, yet the policy consensus states that including Indic script on pages relating to Indian religions is permissible. Please explain, thank you. ThethPunjabi (talk) 22:43, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi ThethPunjabi - thank you for your post.
You added Indic script to about 100 articles, leaving a lot of cleaning up to do - I avoided reverting a number of your edits, to obvious articles, such as Amrit Sanskar, Nimrata. Charhdi Kala and Antam Sanskar - if I accidentally reverted one or two which were in compliance with WP:NOINDICSCRIPT, I apologise. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 12:57, 19 August 2022 (UTC)- Hello Arajay, thank you for your response. I am a new Wikipedia user so I have not become familiar with a lot of the consensus, policies, rules, & guidelines but I am eager to learn about them so I can avoid making edits like those in the future. I will restore the Gurmukhi text on the articles that would fall under the exceptions to WP:NOINDICSCRIPT (namely Sikhism-related pages and articles covering literature originally written in Gurmukhi/Punjabi). I appreciate us resolving this in a civil discussion and I look forward to positively contributing to Wikipedia and working with you and others on improving the coverage on India-related topics. Hello, Could you please explain why you claim that the article is still a draft when it clearly isn't anymore? It has been moved away from being a draft. Programer786 (talk) 22:13, 4 September 2022 (UTC)

- TrotskTrotsk you can't re-attribute something. What you suggest would just have looked as if you had deleted an IP's edits and then realised that the IP was correct. As it was, I reverted you 3 minutes after your deletion, so you had plenty of time to try your method, but didn't - I suggest you let it go, as further edits will just associate your User account with the IP address. losing one of the main advantages of having an account - Arjayay (talk) 20:35, 24 September 2022 (UTC)

Box office India is the most trustable source for Bollywood films.
As per Box Office India report housefull 4 budget is 162 cr Zero budget is 270 cr Kindly check that Brodaddy12cr (talk) 14:34, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
- Three problems Brodaddy12cr
Firstly, as discussed at very great length here, despite your claim, Box Office India is NOT a particularly trustworthy source
Secondly, as explained at WP:ICTFSOURCES "film budget figures at BoxOfficeIndia.com include print and advertising costs" so they are not comparable with other sources and this needs noting "if we can't find a better source"
Thirdly, even if it was a reliable source, you failed to add it as a reference in the article - you just changed the figure, so we have a figure from one source and a reference linking to a different source, with a different figure. Please stop making such changes - thank you - Arjayay (talk) 14:58, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Duplicate Words
Hello, I have seen that you often remove duplicate words from articles. I am wondering if you have an automated tool to detect those errors. That's because I commit that error a lot myself, and then you clean up my errors quite quickly. I'm I'm not not sure sure why I commit that error error a lot lot, it just happens naturally naturally. Thanks for your efforts in cleaning up such mistakes by myself and others. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 18:51, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi User:Doomsdayer520 - Thanks for your appreciation of my efforts. No, I don't have any automated tools, I just have a lot of stored searches for such errors which I use daily/weekly/monthly, depending on the historic frequency of the particular error. I often wonder why editors do not use spelling/grammar checks on their edits, which would pick these up, as most browsers now include these as a standard. - Arjayay (talk) 19:31, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

David Carradine sources.
Greetings.
Regarding the National Enquirer and other tabloid sources in that article, that's the point of the edition, as explained lengthy in a note at the Talk Page.
There are two different parts: Investigation, and, Media reaction. The media includes the tabloids. Taking away the separation and the explanation puts Dr. Rojanasunan's opinion and what the ex-wives said as part of the investigation, which they were not.
Wikipedia allows the use of those sources when the subject in question is related to the sources; when one edits, a warning appears telling that, and this is precisely the case: showing the difference between what the actual investigation was and what the media said.
There's still more material to add about the media circus that this case was. Do you understand the point? Thanks. Maykiwi (talk) 01:11, 20 October 2022 (UTC)

Removal of content without resourch on it
I bet you have not resourched before editing page.As Sambhaji's page itself contains very hypothetical editing which not parallel to real historical sources.now let's come my edit,so you objects that I have deleted references which in your sense is 'valid'.So about that execution statement only John Richard support that statement which put on this page but there are Indian sources says different opinions&also foreign letters says same things as in Indian sources so in that mean we also should put these opinions&sources on page right?so we have to put only neutral point of view that's what I done.i delete that statement itself and simply avoided that topic because this page is not about that. &for that military battle statement, you should resourch because I was already provided sources about it very earlier Prathmesh Bhale (talk) 05:01, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

Question
I've reduced the plot section as requested, but one may wonder if featuring a non-linear narrative (separated in two timelines) as well as an additional Rashomon effect and lots of twists, the plot structure could fit the exception profile (cited in WP:FILMPLOT) of the film's structure is unconventional, such as with non-linear storylines, or unless the plot is too complicated to summarize in this range.
. Don't you think it may be actually the case, Arjayay?--Asqueladd (talk) 19:35, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Asqueladd thanks for your post. You have, fairly quickly, reduced the plot to 675 words, and there still seem to be opportunities for further cuts if more words are needed for the important details. Take the first sentence "Set in 1979, the fiction follows a woman (Alice Gould de Almenara) entering a psychiatric ward." could be "in 1979, Alice Gould de Almenara enters a psychiatric ward" (10 words instead of 16). As there are no other dates is that relevant? and is her full name relevant? could it be "Alice Gould enters a psychiatric ward" (6 words instead of 16)
There are plenty of films with non-linear storylines, but this one does not seem to be particularly complex - IMHO then, no, I think it fits 700 words without being over-confusing. If you want a second opinion, please seek one - best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 20:20, 12 December 2022 (UTC)- The character is variously adressed as "Alice", "Alice Gould", "Alice Gould de Almenara", "Alicia de Almenara", and "Alicia" in the film. Several subplots have been entirely shunned, including the entire dynamics around the Gnome, Rómulo, Remo, Elephant Man, and the so-called "oscillating girl" characters (the trigger of the second death in the facility and the only one actually "solved" in the film); the mommy-like relationship (or mommy impersonation) of the protagonist with one of the twins; or the terms of the relationship of the protagonist with doctor Arellano (the reason the latter supports the protagonist), to name a few, or the detail that the protagonist's psyche chose to feign the illness the protagonist actually suffers from, or the dream-like nature of the experiences of the protagonist in the cage (the reason the protagonists develops yet another conspiracy). Other details such as the nature of the letter by Dr. Donadío (do not trust this woman... she lies) at the beginning of the film, the protagonist claiming to have told her husband that she left for Buenos Aires (instead of entering the ward) as well as the purported whereabouts of Dr. Donadío (the reason for his absence) are perhaps also important to the plot. The connection between the two timelines (concerning the protagonist being the missing patient) has been weakened. As whether if the (time) setting is important, yes I think it is important for any film, I think, particularly if made explicit. The date setting could be worded along the lines you are proposing while conveying the same, indeed.--Asqueladd (talk) 20:56, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- Asqueladd This is getting quite detailed, and would be better copied over to Talk:God's Crooked Lines, where other editors might (hopefully) make some input, and where it would serve as a permanent record of the discussion. I also wonder if you have seen Wikipedia:How to streamline a plot summary, which might give some hints as to how to keep it short. - Arjayay (talk) 21:34, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
