Princess Dot Puddle Park was an attraction in the Flik's Fun Fair area of A Bug's Land at Disney California Adventure. It was a water-type play area where guests could go to the attraction to keep themselves cool with water prior to its closure in 2018.
History[]
Princess Dot Puddle Park opened with the rest of Flik's Fun Fair on October 7, 2002, due to the fact that after California Adventure lacked attractions appropriate for children and low attendance and after Disney announced that they would construct Flik's Fun Fair, the area not only included rides but also a water play area for children themed to the 1998 Disney/Pixar animated film, A Bug's Life where Princess Dot Puddle Park opened, the attraction which was named after Princess Dot herself.
As of September 4, 2018, Princess Dot Puddle Park and the rest of Flik's Fun Fair with the rest of "A Bug's Land" permanently closed to make way for Avengers Campus which opened on 2021.
Summary[]
The attraction itself featured a life-sized garden hose nozzle that sprayed water at guests followed by a life-sized spigot which also sprayed water. This area was designed to imagine if guests were a bug amongst the life-sized garden tools. Behind the Princess Dot Puddle Park was a restroom which is designed to resemble a life-sized tissue box and like in the rest of the scenery in A Bug's Land, firefly lamps were also displayed in Princess Dot Puddle Park to fit the area's theme.
