Darkness Within is the one hundred and ninety-sixth episode of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu
Plot [ ] Lloyd awakens as the Council of the Crystal King arrives with the Four Golden Weapons , which they obtained from the Monastery of Spinjitzu before destroying it. He is outraged by Harumi 's claims that all of his friends have perished but refuses to give in to her bait or accept her offer to join the Crystal King . Unbeknownst to either of them, the other four Ninja have found a safe space in a collapsed subway tunnel and begin crawling to what they hope will be safety by following a rat. Unfortunately, they are soon trapped by another cave-in, and Jay 's attempts to help pass the time are interrupted when a massive boulder falls on top of them.
Cole uses his powers to hold up the boulder, but the four are only saved by the timely arrival of Nya in the Samurai X MECH . She then informs them of the attack on the monastery and the theft of the Golden Weapons, before carrying the group off to their "new" base. The MECH fails just as the group reaches their destination: the Samurai X Cave , where they find Pixal , Skylor , Wu , and MiniPix 7. They soon resolve to locate Lloyd and find some means of stopping Harumi's plans; meanwhile, Harumi explains that her plan is to bring "peace" by destroying the balance and allowing darkness to achieve victory at last.
Aspheera commences a ritual that encases the Golden Weapons in crystal and allows the Crystal King to manifest a new physical form. Lloyd, in horror, recognizes his old foe the Overlord, who recalls their last battle and declares that "It ends now!"
