Joe Cericola Oh good lord! I only just listened to it today with noise-cancelling headphones on, and this freaking blew my ever-lovin' mind! Probably one of my personal favorites from Duncan Ritchie! Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, needs to have this in their collection and listen to on a regular/semi-regular basis!

creosote I have followed Duncan Ritchie’s various projects for more than a decade on various media platforms. I have watched and listened to his style develop across his projects. I have enjoyed most of his projects but this one just blew me away. You have to check this out!

tastethecolor Another solid release from ANIHILA and a great example of dark space ambient being done properly. Most space ambient floats off to the nether regions of space doing very little but getting lost. Anihila's Ghetto Gods though dives deep into its galactic concept, it's an intense sonic bombardment of audio perfection. At limes it soars like 2001 A Space Odyssey and at times it screams in your face like Cyberpunk 2077. Freakin' EPIC! Favorite track: Skin To Void To Sin And Droid.

darkdelight A sonic battery of ultra lush neo gothic sound. Massive waves of modulation move over and through you giving way to industrial calamity. Brief moments of calm and harmony allow the listener to fully see and understand the scope of this extremely expansive concept album. ANIHILA are certainly at the front of the Sci-fi Dark Ambient genre. Favorite track: Schism.

about

----------

Amongst the heavens we moved as Gods.

Our faith brought forth dominion.

Infinite our reach.

Infinite our failure.

Lords of ruin.

Gods of Ghettos.

----------

ANIHILA’s third studio album explores the transformation and decay of an exotic species once illustrious and omnipotent.

When reckless minds discovered evolutionary leaps could be achieved through radical robotization of the mind and the body, the universe no longer showed any bounds.

Minds and bodies evolved beyond recognition to withstand great space travel. Building mighty spacefaring vessels in their own image, they converted and enslaved countless species across the universe. Faith turned to slavery, slavery to debauchery and violation. A religion now so deeply perverted over the eons, entire worlds crumbled under the weight of their rulers capriciousness.

A species once mighty folding inward on its own self-righteousness, entire worlds and galaxies now in ruin.
