—Ashunera to Lehran
Ashunera is a non-playable character from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. She is the creator goddess of the Tellius Series.
Profile[]
In ancient times, there was naught but the ocean, until Ashunera descended and created the first forms of life, as well as all the lands in the world such as Tellius.[1] The Zunanma loved her and called her the Goddess of Dawn in reference to the bright color of her hair. The Zunanma eventually split into two different factions based on their physical capabilities and features; the Beorc and Laguz. Due to their differences, both races became embittered against each other, eventually causing a war. Ashunera was horrified and desperately tried to diffuse the tensions. When she failed, she was so consumed with grief that her literal flood of emotions caused a Great Flood that washed over the entire world, consuming nearly all lands except for Tellius and wiping out a vast majority of the inhabitants.
Ashamed of the destruction she caused, Ashunera decided to discard her emotions to prevent another tragedy. Her emotions then took on its own being, Yune, the Goddess of Chaos, while her body became Ashera, the Goddess of Order. The split of her emotions from her logic as two separate being eventually lead to the latter, Ashera, to attempt to destroy Yune to become a "perfect" goddess. The subsequent war between the two goddess nearly lead to the destruction of Tellius, but Ashera's forces were ultimately victorious and Yune was sealed in Lehran's Medallion.
1,200 years later, by the events of Radiant Dawn, after her defeat by the hands of Ike, Micaiah, and their forces, Ashera and Yune merge together once more, restoring Ashunera to her original state. Ashunera vows to watch over Tellius once more as the benevolent goddess she always was. She also has a conversation with Lehran in the final dialogue scene in the game if he is recruited during second and subsequent playthroughs.
