James Edward Franco is an American actor, director, producer, and writer. He is well-known for his roles as
Harry Osborn in
Sam Raimi's
Spider-Man trilogy,
Scott Smith in the
2008 biographical film
Milk, and
Aron Ralston in the
2010 biographical drama film
127 Hours, which earned him an
Academy Award for Best Actor nomination. He also voiced the
Druggie in the R-rated computer animated film
Sausage Party. He is the older brother of actor and comedian Dave Franco.
For Disney, he played Dr. Oscar Diggs/Oz in the 2013 fantasy film Oz the Great and Powerful and Jake Huard in the Touchstone Pictures film Annapolis.
