"I Love to Conduct" is the second episode of Little Einsteins. It premiered on Disney Channel in primetime on October 9, 2005. The episode follows the Einsteins getting Leo's baton back after a bald eagle confused it for a stick.
Plot[]
One early morning, the Einsteins are watching a sunrise. To help the sun rise, Quincy plays his trumpet, Annie sings, June dances, and Leo conducts with his baton, his favorite thing in the world. After successfully making the sun rise, animals wake up, which the Einsteins observe as Leo leaves his baton behind on a tree stump. They then see a bald eagle picking up sticks for her nest. Unfortunately, the eagle confuses Leo's baton for a stick and takes it, upsetting Leo. Knowing that Leo's baton is his most prized possession and must be brought back to him, the Einsteins declare a mission to get it back and head to the Rocket Room to get Rocket to help them search for the eagle. After powering Rocket with the pat sequence, they blast off.
After seeing birds, ducks, geese, and swans during their flight, the Einsteins hear the eagle and follow her to Mount Saint Helens in Washington. The volcano begins to erupt as the music crescendos, forcing the Einsteins to try going over it to avoid the eruption. Unfortunately, Rocket gets stuck on top of the volcano's vent hole while doing so. To get the volcano to quiet down, Quincy plays his flute quietly until the ash stops erupting, freeing Rocket. After watching the volcano eruption, Rocket pulls out his Look and Listen Scope and finds the eagle ahead of them, so he uses his boosters to catch up with her.
The Einsteins follow the eagle to Redwood Forest in San Francisco, California, where they encounter an animal meeting led by a lion. Thinking that they may know where the eagle went, Annie and the other Einsteins sing to the animals to ask them of the eagle's location, to which the animals reply yes. The wolf sings a message to a killer whale, who sings back that it knows of the eagle's location, so the Einsteins head back to Rocket and do another pat sequence to blast off and continue their search.
After seeing killer whales that know where the eagle is, Rocket pulls out his Look and Listen Scope and finds out that the eagle took the baton to the top of Bald Eagle Mountain. Since the mountain isn't safe for Rocket to land, he lands at the beach near the dock with killer whales. After placing the baton in her nest, she leaves, giving the Einsteins time to get the baton. To get across the water to the mountain, the killer whales line up to allow the Einsteins to ballet leap on top of them.
Now at the bottom of the mountain, Leo climbs to the top of the mountain while the other Einsteins observe him. After climbing, Leo finds his baton in the eagle's nest, but it's too high for him to reach, so he runs and jumps to the nest, allowing him to grab back his baton. The eagle then returns to see her chicks. Leo explains to the eagle that she took his baton by mistake, allowing the eagle to realize her error. Now reunited with his baton, Leo conducts with it, sings about his love for it, and declares the mission complete.
