Edward Anthony "Eddie" Sotto III is an American designer and former Disney Imagineer. At Walt Disney Imagineering (1986-1999), Sotto served as Senior Vice President of Concept Design, contributing to the design of Euro Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A., Disneyland's Space Mountain, Epcot's Mission: SPACE, Tokyo Disneyland's Pooh's Hunny Hunt, the Encounter Restaurant at Los Angeles International Airport, and ABC's Times Square Studios in New York City, among others. He also voiced Shrunken Ned at Disneyland's Adventureland and the Steam Train arrival conductor at both WDW and Disneyland Paris, among many other attraction voices.

Eddie is also featured on the first three episodes of "The Imagineering Story" on Disney+.

Career[]

Sotto began his design career in 1979 at Knott's Berry Farm, where he served as an Assistant Project Designer, with the design of Wacky Soap Box Racers, and contributed to Camp Snoopy, a themed land based on Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts franchise. Prior to WED, Eddie was at Gary Goddard Productions, working on the Six Flags Power Plant and other projects for Mattel. Post Imagineering Eddie developed programming for VH1, Mtv Networks, CNN, Showtime, and ABC TV.

Since 2004, Sotto has helmed SottoStudios, a Los Angeles based experiential design firm that has worked with Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Embraer Aircraft, Universal Studios, Paramount, to name a few. His TED Talk "The How of Wow" recounts the process of experiential design.
