"Daisy's Debut" is the fourteenth and first episode of the second season of House of Mouse, it originally aired on ABC on September 22, 2001.
Synopsis[]
Daisy is given a chance to sing a duet with Mickey at the club, which makes Minnie feel left out. Upon seeing her best friend upset, Daisy fakes a leg injury to give Minnie her role in the duet.
Plot[]
As Mickey is show a reel of shots titled "Tests for Aladdin's Genie", Daisy and Ariel have a conversation at the counter with Daisy telling her that she was a fan of hers since her voice sounded incredible. Ariel asks her if she will ever go on stage and she agrees even though she needs to make a debut. Minnie arrives and tells Mickey that Minnie needs a singing and acting debut not so soon when Mickey says that's a good idea, Gaston walks past them and says "No one has better ideas than Gaston" after his comment, Mickey suggests that they could do a duet between him and Daisy, this he tells Daisy who gets very excited and accepts Mickey's offer.
After showing Daisy's Big Sale, Mickey rehearses with Daisy to start her singing and they practice it great that it seems that they were ready to act. However, after the next cartoon, Minnie goes to contemplate the lyrics of the song, Daisy tells her that acting comments that Mickey and she are going to act, this makes Minnie proud although it leaves her worried, but finally when Mike microphone announces the duo's song, he they hear blows from the background with moans of pain from Daisy to the surprise of the audience, Daisy comments that she was rehearsing when she suddenly fell and injured her leg, seeing no other option, she decides to replace her with Minnie so that she can sing with Mickey even though she doesn't understand the lyrics of the song.
Mickey and Minnie act in the performance although Minnie has some problems Mickey tells her to continue with the lyrics while the guests find the performance great. At the end of the performance, Goofy goes to see Daisy and realizes that she only pretended to injure her leg but Daisy keeps her secret from him so as not to tell Mickey, then Daisy asks if he ever broke his leg, while Mickey and Minnie say goodbye to the audience for putting on such a blissful performance.
