Christina Maria Aguilera is an American actress and singer, who performed "Reflection", the theme song of the 1998 Disney animated feature film Mulan, which was also her debut single. She was also part of the 1993–1995 batch (seasons 6–7) of The Mickey Mouse Club, as well as featured in the very first episode of the Disney Channel reality series 2 Hour Tour. Additionally, she was featured in Maroon 5's song "Moves Like Jagger", which was covered by Scooter, the Muppet penguins, and Pepe the King Prawn in Muppets Most Wanted. A couple of her songs were also covered on Disney Channel; "Beautiful" was covered by China Anne McClain in the A.N.T. Farm episode "america needs talANT", and "Genie in a Bottle" was covered by Dove Cameron in Descendants: Wicked World and was also used in the Aladdin musical.
In 2019, she recorded, along with musical duo A Great Big World, a non-Disney related version of "Fall On Me", a song composed by the duo for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. In 2020, she released "Loyal Brave True", a new song to the Mulan film remake, as well as re-recorded a new version of "Reflection" for said remake.
In 2019, she was named a Disney Legend.
Outside of Disney, Aguilera is known for voicing Akiko Glitter in the 2017 Sony Pictures animated film The Emoji Movie.
