Overview

"Subdued Ceremony" is a Recovered Memory that can be viewed at the Sacred Ground Ruins, just south of Hyrule Castle. Link must view it as part of the Main Quest "Captured Memories".[2]

The Recovered Memory begins with the Champions watching Zelda perform a ceremony with Link kneeled in front of her, recognizing him as the hero of Hyrule Kingdom.[3] During her speech, Daruk and Urbosa are shown to be concerned by Zelda's demeanor.

As Zelda continues, Daruk comments to the others that the ceremony is not very uplifting and that she sounds as though they have already lost.[4] Revali then reminds Daruk that this was his idea,[5] revealing that he has little faith in Link's abilities.[6] Urbosa dismisses Revali's criticisms,[7] stating that she believes Zelda sees Link as a reminder of her own failure to unlock her sealing power.[8] The Memory then ends with Zelda staring down at Link.
