Summary: In this paper we discuss a method for constructing trace formulae for the heat-volume potential of the time-fractional diffusion equation to lateral surfaces of cylindrical domains and use these conditions to construct as well as to study a nonlocal initial boundary value problem for the time-fractional diffusion equation.
