Summary: The problem of gyrostat motion under the potential and gyroscopic forces is considered for the case of variable gyrostatic momentum. For the class of precessional motions, a reduction of the six Kirchhoff-Poisson equations to the system of three ordinary differential equations is presented. The pendulum motions are investigated as an example.
