Multiple Haar base in the converse theorems of approximation and imbedding theorems. (English) Zbl 1349.42052
Summary: On the bases of the estimates of the best approximation by polynomials with respect to the Haar basis, we prove converse theorems for functions defined on the unit cube of the \(d\)-dimensional Euclidean space. We establish imbedding theorems on the scale of Lebesgue spaces as well as relations connecting the magnitudes of the best approximations in the corresponding spaces.
