Sonic-supersonic solutions for the steady Euler equations. (English) Zbl 1320.35245
The authors study the steady isentropic Euler system for compressible ideal gas in two dimensions, coupled with the Bernoulli law. The flow is assumed to be irrotational. For any smooth curve on the plane a transonic smooth solution is constructed with this curve as the sonic line.
