The author analyses the heat transfer process in a body and a coating under heating by the external medium. The analysis is based on the analytical solution to a one-dimensional nonstationary heat conductivity problem for a cylinder with a thin multilayer coating obtained with the application of generalized boundary conditions. Regularities of the process are established.
