Scattering of sound from point sources by multiple circular cylinders using addition theorem and superposition technique. (English) Zbl 1267.76099

This article is devoted to the multiple scattering problem of an acoustic wave by several cylinder-shape obstacles. The readers of the paper have to keep in mind the excellent monograph by P. A. Martin in [Multiple scattering. Interaction of time-harmonic waves with \(N\) obstacles. Encyclopedia of Mathematics and Its Applications 107. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2006; Zbl 1210.35002)] cited by the authors in the introduction. The work developed in this paper is interesting, and it is specially valuable due to the comparison of the theoretical results with experimental data in Section IV.
