Generalized weak transfer continuity and the Nash equilibrium. (English) Zbl 1236.91017
Summary: This paper introduces the notion of generalized weak transfer continuity and establishes that a bounded, compact locally convex metric quasiconcave and generalized weak transfer continuous game has a Nash equilibrium. Our equilibrium existence result neither implies nor is implied by the existing results in the literature such as those in [G. Carmona, Econ. Theory 48, No. 1, 31–45 (2011; Zbl 1238.91040); P. Prokopovych, Econ. Theory 48, No. 1, 5–16 (2011; Zbl 1232.91067); G. Carmona, J. Econ. Theory 144, No. 3, 1333–1340 (2009; Zbl 1159.91305); P. J.
