On asymptotic values of canonical quadratic \(L\)-functions. (English) Zbl 1219.11172

Summary: We establish an asymptotic for the first moment of Hecke \(L\)-series associated to canonical characters on imaginary quadratic fields. This provides another proof and improves recent results by Masri and Kim-Masri-Yang.
