IGVC scheme for hyperbolic conservation laws with source terms. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 1199.65293
Summary: A numerical investigation of an IGVC (Improved Group Velocity Control) scheme for hyperbolic conservation laws including source terms is discussed. In order to prevent nonphysical oscillations near the discontinuities, we introduce an IGVC scheme. The total-variation diminishing property of the IGVC scheme is investigated. A splitting scheme is used to approach the source terms. Numerical experiments for one-dimensional shallow water equations are given to demonstrate the performance of the scheme.
