Block and Basu’s bivariate exponential distribution with application to drought data. (English) Zbl 1117.62055
Let \((X,Y)\) follow the bivariate exponential distribution of H. W. Block and A. P. Basu [J. Am. Stat. Assoc. 69, 1031–1037 (1974; Zbl 0299.62027)]. The authors derive the density functions of \(R=X+Y\), \(P=XY\), and \(W=X/(X+Y)\), as well as the moments of \(R\), \(P\), and \(W\).

This reference list is based on information provided by the publisher or from digital mathematics libraries. Its items are heuristically matched to zbMATH identifiers and may contain data conversion errors. In some cases that data have been complemented/enhanced by data from zbMATH Open. This attempts to reflect the references listed in the original paper as accurately as possible without claiming completeness or a perfect matching.
