On semi-regular precessions of the second kind in the problem of motion of a gyrostat under the action of potential and gyroscopic forces. (Russian) Zbl 1114.70318
A system of ordinary differential equations describing the motion a gyrostat under the action of potential and gyroscopic forces is considered. Conditions for the existence of a precession around the vertical are studied. By using the method by G. V. Gorr [J. Appl. Math. Mech. 67, 511–523 (2003; Zbl 1150.70310)], the author proves that the system considered does not admit any precession of the second kind.
