Transient elastohydrodynamic drag on a particle moving near a deformable wall. (English) Zbl 1105.76019
The authors study the motion of rigid sphere/cylinder moving close to a deformable wall. The indentation of the wall is assumed sufficiently small to allow the use of lubrication theory. The problem is solved by numerical and asymptotic methods.
